OVERVIEW

Kipman was born in Brazil but received his education at the Rochester Institute of Technology. He earned a degree in software engineering in 2001. He cited his childhood as the beginning of his fascination with technological possibilities. His parents bought him three Atari 2600s as a child, the first two of which he broke while attempting to figure out how the enthralling gaming hardware worked. He knew right then and there that this was what he wanted to do with the rest of his life.
